Everything FFmpeguru exposes

FFmpeguru has four public surfaces. They all do the same thing — turn a plain-language description into a runnable ffmpeg command — and none of them require an account.

1. This website

The generator on the home page. No API call needed.

2. HTTP API

POST /api/v1/ask — JSON in, Server-Sent Events out.

Rate limited to 5 requests per minute per IP, counted in a shared store so the limit is the same no matter how many servers are running.

See the HTTP API reference.

3. MCP server

Point any MCP-capable client at /mcp and it gets one tool, ffmpeguru_generate.

See how to connect an MCP client.

4. llms.txt

A machine-readable index for agents, at /llms.txt, with a longer companion at /ask.md.

See the llms.txt reference.
