REST spec v1

llms.txt
llms.txt is a small convention for telling a language model what a site is and where to read more, so the model does not have to guess at URLs.
FFmpeguru serves one:
GET /llms.txt # the index
GET /ask.md # the longer companion reference
What is in it
The index names the product in one line, then lists the public surfaces with links:
# FFmpeguru
> FFmpeguru turns a plain-language description into a correct, runnable
> FFmpeg command. It is backed by a shared, community-built memory...
## MCP
- [Connect an LLM client](https://.../ask.md#mcp): Streamable HTTP endpoint at
`https://.../mcp`. One tool, `ffmpeguru_generate`.
## HTTP API
- [Generate a command](https://.../ask.md): `POST .../api/v1/ask` returns a
Server-Sent Events stream.
It stays under 4 KB so it fits comfortably in a context window.
Using it
Point an agent at /llms.txt and it will discover the MCP
endpoint and the HTTP API without needing any further guidance.
Both documents describe only the public surface.
Markdown companions
The API documentation is served in .md as well. The same
convention applies to any page: append .md to the URL.
